Introduction

유권태 박사는 표적 발견을 위한 기능 유전체학 분야에서 10년 이상의 경력을 쌓은 열정적인 과학자입니다. 유권태 박사는 커리어 내내 인간 게놈의 신비와 다양한 질병에 대한 의미를 밝히는 데 깊은 열정을 쏟아왔습니다.

유권태 박사의 연구여정은 연세대학교 박사 과정 중에 불일치 복구 결핍성 MSI 대장암의 발암 메커니즘을 탐구하고 암 특이적 마커를 확인하면서 시작되었습니다. 그 이후 신약개발과정에 참여하는 하얀 가운을 입은 멋진 연구원이 되고자, 뛰어난 동료들이 있는 곳에서 함께 연구할 수 있는 기회를 찾아다녔습니다. 서울대와 미국의 브로드 연구소를 거쳐서 먼 길을 돌아왔지만, 현재는 미국에서 제가 꿈꾸던 신약개발분야 연구원으로 지내고 있습니다. 회사 연구원은 생각보다 훨씬 다이내믹하고 재미있다고 생각합니다.

Research Highlights:

Led target discovery and validation using primary cell models in diverse research areas, employing cutting-edge molecular cell biology techniques, including CRISPR and single-cell methods.

Published multiple first-author research papers in top-tier journals, such as Science, where I have shared the findings of my groundbreaking research.

Excelled in collaborative environments, working with multidisciplinary teams of deep learning scientists, statistical geneticists, and molecular biologists to decipher the clinical impact of human genetic variants for rare and common diseases.

Successfully generated iPSC-derived primary immune cell models for functional assays using CRISPR screens and sequencing, contributing to collaborative projects aimed at discovering new druggable targets and understanding the MOA of drug candidates in the developmental pipeline.
