Hello, I’m Lee Daeseung, the representative of Portrai.
We aim to transform the drug development process by revealing insights that go beyond human perception. The name “Portrai” is a blend of “Portray” and “AI,” reflecting our mission to use artificial intelligence to visualize information that is otherwise hidden. Visualization can make even complex concepts easy to understand. For instance, when Steve Jobs showcased how thin and light the MacBook was by simply pulling it out of his briefcase, he effectively communicated its value. Similarly, scientific complexities, like the debate on whether light is a particle or a wave, can also be clarified through smart visualizations.
There are many things that are easily understood in a single visualization,such as the value of any technology or object, or the very difficult conceptual facts. Steve Jobs pulled his MacBook out of his briefcase, telling us at once how thin and light this laptop was.
Developing new drugs is a complex process. Contrary to the notion that addressing a single substance will cure a disease, life operates through intricate networks. A single intervention can trigger a cascade of changes, much like a waterfall. This intricate web of reactions explains why some medications are effective while others aren’t.
THIS NETWORK OF VARIOUS CHANGES MAKES THE EXPLANATION OF WHY MEDICINE IS HEARD OR NOT. THE PROCESS OF DISCOVERING DIFFERENT CLUES TO MANY CHANGES IS DIFFICULT AND COMPLEX, BUT WE AIM TO EASILY UNDERSTAND AND IMPROVE MANY OF THEM THROUGH VARIOUS VISUALIZATIONS USING AI.
We aim to simplify this complexity by offering diverse AI-driven visualizations to enhance understanding. Portrai examines the complex relationships between organizations and new drug development. We focus on various factors, such as identifying the right targets, understanding why certain drugs fail to reach their intended destinations, and recommending improvements.
We believe that both drug development and licensing will become more data-driven, allowing us to identify high-value drug candidates and improve upon them effectively. Join us on Portrai’s journey to visualize the unseen.
