보스턴에 위치한 Northeastern University의 인공장기 제작 및 기계생물학 연구실(지도교수: 김현유)에서 함께 일할 신입 박사과정 연구원을 모집합니다. 우리 연구실에서는 유도만능줄기세포와 조직 공학 기술을 이용하여 다양한 모양의 맞춤형 사람 장기 모델을 제작하고, 이를 이용하여 기계적 자극이 발달 과정이나 선천성 질병에 어떠한 영향을 주는지를 연구합니다. 특히 오가노이드와 3D 프린팅을 비롯한 다양한 조직 공학 기술을 활용합니다. 줄기세포/오가노이드/조직공학/심장/근육/기계생물학/미세유체학/선천성 심장 기형과 관련된 연구에 관심 있는 학생들의 지원을 기다리고 있습니다.
연구실은 보스턴 시내에 여러 학과가 모여있는 Northeastern University Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Complex(ISEC) 건물에 있으며 2024년 1월에 시작될 예정입니다. 선정된 학생은 2023년 12월 15일까지 대학원 지원서를 Northeastern University에 제출하여 내년 가을학기에 입학하게 됩니다.
The Bioengineered Organ and Mechanobiology (BOAM) lab at Northeastern University in Boston, MA is seeking 1-2 research assistants for PhD degree in the Mechanical & Industrial Engineering (MIE) program. We are currently looking for candidates in the areas of stem cell-derived cardiac organoids, organs-on-a-chip, 3D printing, tissue engineering, vascularization, and mechanotransduction. Candidates with a strong background in Bioengineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant fields are encouraged to apply. The PhD positions will begin in Fall 2024.

◉ 지원 자격 (Qualifications)
1. 전공: 생명공학/기계공학을 비롯한 모든 공학 혹은 응용 물리 분야 학사 혹은 석사 전공 졸업자 및 졸업 예정자
Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees in any engineering or applied physics are preferred.
2. 영어: 토플 79점 혹은 IELTS 6.5 혹은 Duolingo 105 이상(모국어가 영어인 국가의 학위 혹은 시민권이 있는 경우 면제 가능)
A TOEFL score of 79 or an IELTS score of 6.5 or a Duolingo score of 105 or higher (Exemption will be granted if you hold a degree or citizenship in a country where English is the official language).
